On October 21st in village Variani the event dedicated to the 160th anniversary of the famous Georgian writer – Jacob Gogebashvili took place.

The Centre For Civil Integration and Inter-Ethnic Relations (CCIIR) has been implementing the project “Protecting Minority Educational Rights through Bilingual Education” since December, 2009 in cooperation with the European Commission under the – European Instrument for democracy and Human Rights( EIDHR) programme.

CCIIR has been implementing the project , ,Supporting Multilingual Education Reform’’ since May 2010 with financial support of OSCE office of High Commissioner on National Minorities.

On October 15th , 2010, in Ilia Chavchavadze National Library Exhibition Hall the presentation of the scientific-educational journal - “Bilingual Education” was held.

The first volume of bimonthly scientific- methodological journal ‘’Bilingual Education’’ was issued by The Center for Civil Integration and Inter-Ethnic Relations (CCIIR ).

Center for Civil Integration and Inter-Ethnic Relations (CCIIR) started implementation of the project”Supporting Multilingual Educational Reform in Georgia’’ from May 2010. The project is funded by OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities (HCNM). The following activities will be implemented within the framework of the project:

CCIIR will start the implementation of the project ,, Integration of Non-Georgian Schools in Educational Reform’’ from June, 1, 2010. The project is funded by US. Embassy Democracy Commission Small Grant Program.

CCIIR initiated new project to support affirmative action policy in higher educational admission system of Georgia. The project “60 credit Georgian language module for non-Georgian students” is funded by “Open Society- Georgia Foundation”.

Centre for Civil Integration and Inter-Ethnic Relations (CCIIR) implements the project” “Ethnic minority educational rights protection through bilingual education”. The project is funded by European Commission.

CCIIR started implementation of two new projects from December 2009. The Project “Supporting non-Georgian schools in multilingual educational reform" is funded by Eurasia Partnership Foundation in the framework of the Integration and Tolerance Program of United Nations Association of Georgia (UNAG) .

CCIIR translated and published “Bilingual Education; Teacher’s Guide” from Latvian into Georgian language.

CCIIR implements the project “Supporting Minority Schools in Educational Reform” funded by OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities. The two volumes of journal “Teacher” were issued in Azerbaijani and Armenian languages in the framework of the project.

The presentation of results of the project “Civil Education Resource Centers” was conducted at Public Defender’s Office on August, 31.

The meeting with Ombudsman of Georgia Sozar Subari and NGO represntantives from Kvemo Kartli region was conducted on April 6, 2009 in Marneuli in the framework of the project “Civil Educational Resource Centres” funded by Eurasia Partnership Foundation.

Centre for Civil Integration and Inter-Ethnic Relations in cooperation with Teachers Professional Development Centre of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia organized the presentation of the teacher's quarterly journal "Teacher".
