Project: Go and Participate

The project “Go and Participate” was funded by USAD and IFES. The project aimed at raising civil awareness among young ethnic minorities and supporting their engagement in public life. Project participants: Ethnic minority students who entered the universities in 2010-2011 as a result of higher education policy. From among 600 students 30 leaders were chosen, who were trained to plan and implement civil activities/projects. Within the framework of the project CCIIR has developed and published – “Go and Participate”- guide for young people. The guide is quite important recourse in Georgian language for non native as well as for native speaker young people, who are active citizens in their communities. The guide presents practical examples as well as provides young and active citizens with useful materials about local and international organizations, who work with youth. The presented materials help young people to plan their future activities in collaboration with different organizations.
