On May 17, 2017 the second meeting was held at CCIIR office between the representatives of Georgian universities, ministry of education and PITA program. The purpose of the collaborative meeting was to present and discuss the views on newly launched platform (still draft version) for the universities, where one year Georgian language preparatory program for ethnic minorities is being implemented. In addition, share opinions about the issues regarding 1+4 program administration including student enrollment, Georgian language standard, defining language proficiency levels etc.

The creation and development of online networking platform is supported by "Promoting Integration, Tolerance and Awareness in Georgia" PITA program implemented by the UN Association of Georgia with financial support of USAID. Center for Civil Integration and Inter-ethnic Relations is a partner organization of the program, which is responsible for the administration of the platform.

The faculty will use a platform to host online networking. This new interactive web page would be a great asset and the wonderful opportunity for the program staff and the academic personnel of member universities to ensure their active cooperation and collaborative work on university and program level, to share experience and various information and furthermore to plan and organize joint events and activities.

The 8 universities have agreed the memorandum of cooperation: Tbilisi State University, ILIA State University, Tbilisi State Medical University, Technical University, and State Universities of Gori, Telavi, Batumi and Samtskhe-Javakheti.
